Santamargherita Marble is the original marble based engineered stone and has proven itself as one of the most functional and practical building materials available in todays market. Carefully selected natural marble chips and powders are mixed with thermoset polyester resin in a high-pressure environment and processed with the latest Breton technology to create collections that make any setting unique and exclusive. The resulting precast material is ideally suited to interior design and makes it easy to achieve a unified look across countertops, tile floors and wall cladding. Santamargherita Marble exhibits consistent beauty throughout the space, whether in a bathroom, a living room or a commercial environment.

Santamargherita Marble surfaces are fairly easy to maintain and with simple care, will retain its luster and beauty for many years. For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of mild soap. Once clean, rinse and dry surface thoroughly. Make sure to stay away from acidic cleaners such as vinegar or other harsh products. Make sure if you are using something besides water and mild detergent, you make sure the product is safe for natural marble surfaces. Clean up spills right away: The longer a spill sits on a marble countertop, the more likely it is too soak in. This is especially the case with acidic liquids such as lemon juice, vinegar, or wine, which can begin to break down the sealer and not only stain the counter but lower its resistance to future staining. In most cases, though, swiftly wiping up the spill with a soft cloth or paper towel will keep your marble countertops looking beautiful.
Stone hardness protects the surface from scratches, and as a general rule, marble is fairly soft. Therefore, Santamargherita Marble is susceptible to scratching, if care is not taken. To preserve surface aesthetics from alterations, protect the surface with a cutting board when using knives or sharp objects. Also avoid abrasive pads and cleaners with pumice or powders to insure against accidental scratching or etching.
Generally, prevention will save a great deal of time spent on cures and remedies, especially since damage to marble is often difficult to repair. A good commercial penetrating stone sealer should be applied just prior to or immediately following installation to help prevent staining. The sealer should then be applied every year after to maintain an optimum level of stain prevention. Spills of any type should be immediately removed and rinsed with water. Santamargherita Marble surfaces may stain, etch or dull if exposed to liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables for prolonged periods of time. Coasters should be placed under all glasses, particularly those containing liquors or citrus juices.
Santamargherita Marble surfaces are tested to withstand higher temperatures in the event of short and occasional contact with heat. However, the surfaces are not heat proof. We recommend you avoid direct contact with heat sources such as irons, curling irons and other heated appliances and you must always use a trivet or hot pad under heated dishes.
